About Kongwei Ying

I design and engineer the creation of AI and 3D apps for people and businesses.

I do this through my professional and personal experience as a software engineer, marketer, designer, product manager, and entrepreneur.

I am curious about biology, biomechanics, psychology, history, meditation, theology, metaphysics.

My experience

I created, designed and marketed Natural Scientific Calculator for iOS and Android which got over 1 million downloads organically on a $150 marketing budget.
I worked at Google as a Marketing Manager Intern in SMB Marketing.
I worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer Intern in the Office team.
I later received offers to work as product manager and software engineer from various big tech companies. I declined these offers to pursue my own more well-rounded path of development outside of the pigeonholing associated with traditional roles.
I also ran a small software consultancy called Kairos Studios, that built apps for various businesses and startups, where I worked with my university friends.

I freelance as an all-in-one software engineer, designer and product manager to help people and businesses build their own tools and apps.

I bring my integrated technical engineering abilities, design sensitivity and business understanding to the table.

I primarily live in Australia, with periods of the year spent in China.
